Injury Prevention and Strength Training Bootcamp for the Young Athlete
*Completed for Summer of 2023*
Will be Offered Again Based on Demand this Fall and Winter
The mission of this camp is:
I have created the type of camp I wish I had growing up and the type of camp I would want my nieces or friends’ kids to sign up for. It is my mission to decrease risk for athletic injuries by teaching young athletes about their bodies and how to keep them physically healthy for years to come.
No one should have to experience that life-changing injury, but:
There are currently more than 250,000 sports related injuries per year.
Most injuries occur in females ages 15-25.
70% are non-contact injuries, meaning something was off mechanically with the athlete versus a trauma. This means 70% are PREVENTABLE.
JOIN THE BACK TO BASICS BOOTCAMP TO TURN RISK FOR INJURY INTO OPTIMAL ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE
The camp will include:
Alignment assessment and correction
video breakdown of functional exercises and jumping mechanics
Postural and strength assessment using the mckenzie method
outcome measure assessment for mobility and performance (Y balance, 5in wall test, Thomas Test, and more)
50% off *lifetime* membership to theratrain with access to all workout videos and 8 min athlete warm up
education and execution of proper exercise and lifting techniques in the gym that can be carried over for the rest of their lives
daily competitions with prizes
By the end of the week your athlete will know how to perform a proper: plank, push up, squat, lunge, deadlift, bench press and more.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to keep your athlete physically healthy now and for the rest of their lives.
